The Delta State Government has debunked reports circulating on social media claiming that former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan has d!ed, describing the claim as false and misleading.

The clarification was issued on Wednesday by Ossai Success, Senior Special Assistant on Media to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who said he reached out directly to the former governor's family to verify the reports.

He disclosed that he spoke with Uduaghan's daughter, Orode Uduaghan, who confirmed that her father is alive and well.

Ossai expressed disappointment at the spread of unverified information, describing the circulation of false d£ath reports as cruel and irresponsible.

He noted that such rumours cause unnecessary emotional distress to family members and loved ones, as well as to the many Deltans who hold the former governor in high regard.

He urged members of the public to disregard the report, refrain from sharing unverified information online, and show greater responsibility when circulating news about individuals.
