EFCC Secures Conviction as Lagos Court Jails Man for Cyber Fraud and Impersonation

A Lagos Federal High Court has convicted and sentenced Samuel Oliveth Louis after finding him guilty of impersonation and cyber-related fraud.

Samuel Oliveth Louis was found guilty and sentenced for impersonation and cyber-related fraud by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The anti-graft organization claimed in a statement on its official online site that Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, found Louis guilty on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

The defendant was charged with one count of impersonation and cybercrime-related offenses, according to the EFCC.

"Impersonation: Court Jails Man in Lagos," the announcement says.

On Thursday, June 25, 2026, Samuel Oliveth Louis was found guilty and sentenced by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the EFCC in front of Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Louis was charged with one count of impersonation and fraud relating to the internet.
