A former Secretary to the Benue State Government, Prof. David Salifu has died following a suspected kidnapping attack along a highway route linking Taraba and Benue States.

Former Secretary to the Benue State Government, Prof. David Salifu, has d!ed after reportedly sustaining gunsh0t injuries during an att@ck by suspected kidn@ppers.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Thursday in Wukari, Taraba State, while he was travelling to Makurdi.
He was said to have escaped from his assailants but suffered gunsh0t wounds in the process.
He was rushed to a hospital in Makurdi for treatment but was later confirmed d£ad on Thursday night.
Further details surrounding the incident are still emerging, and authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the att@ck.
Efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer for the Benue Command proved unsuccessful, as calls to her went unanswered.
