A major celebration of Anambra excellence is set to bring together influential figures as Professor Ugochukwu Anyaehie prepares to deliver the keynote address at the annual awards ceremony.

The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, is set to deliver the keynote address at the 5th Anambra Man of The Year Awards, organisers have announced.
Themed "Unstoppable Anambra," this year's event will celebrate the achievements of distinguished Anambra indigenes who have excelled across various fields of human endeavour, while promoting the state's culture of excellence and innovation.
According to the organisers, Professor Anyaehie's keynote address is expected to highlight the resilience, innovation, and leadership that have shaped Anambra's development and inspired its people over the years.
The awards, over time, have featured several notable personalities as keynote speakers, including the first female Professor of Mass Communication in Sub-Saharan Africa, along with other distinguished figures.
The ceremony will honour outstanding sons and daughters of Anambra State whose contributions have had significant impact across business, education, public service, entrepreneurship, and other sectors.
Professor Anyaehie, a Professor of Physiology and Clinical Measurements, became the 7th substantive Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University in November 2025 and has consistently championed academic excellence, innovation, and institutional development throughout his tenure.
