Judges of the Nasarawa State High Court, along with Kadis of the Sharia Court of Appeal and Judges of the Customary Court of Appeal, are set to begin their 2026 annual vacation on Monday, July 20.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by the Covering Director of Information and Protocol of the High Court of Justice, Agube Esther Ogidis.

According to the statement, the vacation will run until September 7, 2026, after which normal court proceedings are expected to resume.

To ensure that access to justice is not disrupted during this period, the judiciary has designated Justice Hafsat Sanda and Justice Ishaku Usman as vacation judges to attend to urgent and time-sensitive matters.

The statement also conveyed the goodwill of the Chief Judge of Nasarawa State and Chairman of the State Judicial Service Commission, Justice Aisha Mohammed Usman, who wished members of the judiciary a peaceful and rewarding annual vacation.
