Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name Falz, is a Nigerian musician who claims he has never endorsed any politician, including Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

Falana revealed this on Tuesday during an interview on a television show.

He urged Nigerians to participate in the national elections the next year, especially the younger generation.

He clarified that he never openly supported Peter Obi or any politician or party in 2023 or at any point, stressing that his role has been to actively encourage people to go out and vote.

He said he advocates for a free and fair democratic process and has deliberately avoided publicly backing any politician for obvious reasons.

He added that it is important to strengthen the country's democracy, noting that Nigeria appears to keep going in cycles with largely the same set of politicians being reshuffled, making it difficult to confidently vouch for any Nigerian politician in 2026.
