Media personality Toke Makinwa has shared a controversial opinion on the timing of marriage, suggesting that many women need more time for personal growth before settling down.

Media personality and actress Toke Makinwa has stated that it is not ideal for women to get married in their 20s.

Arguing that most women are still in the process of discovering themselves at that stage of life and are yet to develop the maturity needed to make better life decisions.

Speaking on a recent episode of her podcast alongside guest and reality star Tacha, Makinwa said she believes many women who married in their 20s have come to regret the decision.

She maintained that women have no business rushing into marriage that early, insisting that even those who remain married, if being honest, would admit that they should not have rushed into it.

Her guest, Tacha, added to the conversation by referencing her mother's view that marriage is like an institution, where those inside are eager to get out, while those outside can hardly wait to get in.
