PDP Chieftain Declares Support for Peter Obi Ahead of 2027 Election

A senior PDP figure has thrown his weight behind Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 presidential race, praising his leadership record and urging Nigerians to rally behind candidates with proven capacity.

A prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Engr. Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, Anselm Ijebor has declared his support for former governor of Anambra State and former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

Ijebor declared that he would rally support for Obi, characterizing him as a capable leader with a history of public service.

He asserts that Nigerians ought to back people they feel have the expertise, foresight, and ability to solve the nation's problems.

He also mentioned former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, saying both leaders have demonstrated commitment to public service and enjoy the support of many Nigerians.

He added that as the 2027 general election approaches, Nigerians have an opportunity to elect leaders with the experience, vision and capacity to deliver good governance and rebuild the country.

Ijebor commended Obi's tenure as governor of Anambra State, describing him as a leader who demonstrated integrity, competence and commitment to development.

He further expressed the view that an Obi-led administration would prioritise infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, job creation, security, and youth and women empowerment.

He urged eligible voters to participate peacefully in the electoral process and support the candidates of their choice, calling on every eligible voter youth, woman, elder and stakeholder alike to take part in the democratic process and back whoever they believe can move Nigeria forward.

Ijebor also said Obi's contributions to national development and unity have earned him recognition across the country, and called on Nigerians to remain committed to peaceful, issue based campaigns ahead of the 2027 general elections.
