The Corporate Affairs Commission has launched a new office in Lagos to make business registration and compliance easier for entrepreneurs.

As part of continuous efforts to make doing business in Nigeria easier, the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has established a new service center at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos with the goal of increasing access to business registration and compliance services for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
According to a statement shared on the commission's verified social media account on Monday, the new office was commissioned the same day by the Registrar-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, Hussaini Magaji (SAN), and is expected to bring corporate services closer to entrepreneurs while supporting the Federal Government's push to formalise small businesses.
The initiative is in line with the government's broader reforms aimed at promoting economic inclusion, improving the business environment and encouraging more enterprises to operate within the formal economy.
The commission explained that the office was strategically sited to support President Bola Tinubu's administration's efforts to deepen the formalisation of small businesses nationwide.
The CAC said the new facility had been fully equipped to provide seamless business registration, filing of annual returns and other regulatory compliance services.
Adding that it would enable entrepreneurs to access its services more efficiently and reduce the time needed to complete corporate transactions.
According to the commission, the office allows MSMEs to transact directly with it in a faster, more convenient and efficient manner.
The commission noted that the expansion reflects its continued commitment to supporting MSMEs, promoting regulatory compliance and ensuring entrepreneurs can access quality corporate services with greater ease.
The opening of the Lagos office comes as the commission continues to implement reforms and digital initiatives designed to simplify business registration processes, reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks, and encourage more enterprises to join the formal sector, which remains vital to Nigeria's economic growth and revenue generation.
