Afrobeats star Davido has opened up about his concerns over his children following his career path, despite admitting that one of them already shows strong musical talent.

Nigerian artist David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has stated that he does not want any of his children to pursue a musical career.
In a recent episode of a podcast, the father of six said he would not encourage any of his children to pursue a career in music, citing his own experience in the industry.
He disclosed that his second daughter, Hailey Veronica Adeleke, is already leaning towards music and has a good voice, though he admitted being skeptical about encouraging her in that direction.
He explained that he doesn't want any of his children to pursue music, noting that Hailey is already showing that inclination, describing her as the life of the party who behaves just like him and genuinely has a good voice.
He said that knowing what he personally went through in the industry, he remains hesitant to push any of his children toward music, questioning whether they could withstand what he has experienced.
Davido added, however, that since his own parents and family eventually allowed him to pursue his dreams, he would never want to stand in the way of his children chasing theirs, adding that if they have the talent, there's no reason to hold them back.
