Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has honoured Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II as the monarch marks a new milestone.

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has congratulated Kano Emir, Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, on his 65th birthday.
The governor's spokesperson, Sunusi DawakinTofa, issued a statement on Friday with the congratulations greeting.
The governor characterized the king as a visionary leader whose wisdom, courage, and devotion to justice have inspired generations.
On behalf of the government and people of Kano State, Governor Yusuf celebrated the Emir's remarkable contributions to nation-building, education, economic development, and the preservation of Kano's rich cultural and religious heritage, according to a statement.
He noted that Emir Sanusi's lifetime of service has earned him admiration both within Nigeria and across the international community, praising the Emir for his unwavering dedication to promoting peace, unity and good governance.
As well as his consistent advocacy for education, women and youth empowerment, sustainable development and economic reforms.
He said the monarch's leadership has remained a beacon of hope and progress for the people of Kano and beyond.
Yusuf prayed for Almighty Allah to bless the Emir with good health, long life and continued wisdom as he leads the Kano Emirate and contributes to the development of the state and the nation.
He reaffirmed his administration's commitment to working closely with the traditional institution in advancing policies and programmes aimed at improving the lives of the people and strengthening Kano's position as a centre of excellence.
