An independent appeal board has fined Chelsea £10 million and imposed a suspended two-window transfer ban, according to the Football Association (FG).

This punishment is the result of the Premier League club's admission of breaking Football Association agency rules.

This is about hidden payments to agents when Roman Abramovich was the owner.

The FA charged Chelsea with 74 breaches of FA Rule E1.2, after the club's current owners self-reported the misconduct following their purchase of the club in May 2022.

The transfers that raised potential concerns during the takeover process are believed to include deals involving players such as Eden Hazard, Samuel Eto'o and Willian.

An earlier independent commission had imposed a suspended six-point deduction, which was subsequently set aside in favour of a suspended transfer ban.
