Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, has gifted nine vans to leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Wing to improve transportation during party events and community functions.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the First Lady officially delivered the automobiles to the APC National Youth Leader and Deputy National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel and Jamaludeen Kabir, at State House on Friday.
She praised the leaders for their unity in strengthening the party's political operations at the grassroots.
NAN remembers Tinubu donating busses to APC zonal women leaders at the recent launch of the "Tinubu Torchbearers" support organization.
She urged young people to be content and diligent in all aspects of their lives in order to advance in life.
Patience, integrity, and hard effort are essential, she says, adding that there is no food for lazy people and that an obsession with quick money can wreck a community.
The First Lady stated that the buses were purchased by donations from kind individuals who support her, and she decided to give back to the youth.
"The young people do not realize that God always knows what they need. You are not selfish, while others are always in a rush.I do not beg in this office.
God advised me not to beg. I work with whatever He offers, and I teach you how to be content and not beg.
In his reaction, APC youth leader Israel Dayo praised the first lady for her kindness and promised to continue pushing the party's principles ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Israel thanked Tinubu for the gift and promised to continue to support President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda.
”You have raised boys to men; we came here, many of us without vehicles, but we are leaving with brand new buses.
”We are now mummy's men for Asiwaju, and we will establish institutions to conduct the campaign in the 36 states of the Federation.
"We remain dedicated to the renewed hope agenda. What you have done today has increased our ability to reach out not only for electoral mobilisation, but also to better Nigerians' lives," Israel added.
Other attendees at the car presentation included APC zonal youth leaders from the North-Central, South-West, South-South, South-East, North-West, North-East, and FCT.
