The Federal Government has pushed back against claims that Adamawa has been overlooked in infrastructure development, revealing a series of ongoing and newly approved road projects across the state.

The Adamawa State Controller of the Federal Ministry of Works has dismissed suggestions that the Tinubu administration is neglecting the state in federal road infrastructure allocations.
Speaking in an exclusive interview conducted in Yola, the controller stated that the federal government has awarded numerous new road contracts across the state while reviving previously abandoned projects, many of which have reached advanced stages of completion.
According to him, the President personally approved three major road projects spanning the state's three senatorial districts.
These include rehabilitation of the Jimeta–Mayo-Belwa corridor valued at ₦83 billion, the second phase of rehabilitation work on the Yola Hong Mubi road, and Phase 2 of the Fufore Gurin road covering 20 kilometres at ₦15.246 billion, following completion of the initial 17-kilometre segment.
The controller further disclosed four newly commissioned projects designed to stimulate the state's economic development: the Jamblamba Malabu road spanning 85 kilometres, currently 40 per cent complete; the Jada Mbula Ganye road covering 44 kilometres, presently ongoing; the Mayolini Mayo-Belwa road spanning 40 kilometres, awarded and scheduled to commence shortly; and the Toungo Karanti road covering 90 kilometres, which will connect Adamawa with Taraba State.
He attributed previous project abandonments to insufficient funding under earlier administrations and assured residents that federal roads throughout Adamawa would undergo rehabilitation alongside construction of new infrastructure.
The controller noted that rehabilitation of the Cham Numan road and the bridge near Numan Savannah Sugar Refinery have both been completed, while confirming that the initial 17-kilometre phase of the Yola Fufore rehabilitation is finished, with the second phase already awarded.
He indicated that the Numan Jalingo road remains under review due to escalating construction material costs.
The controller concluded by appealing to Adamawa residents to support the current administration, reaffirming the federal government's commitment to constructing critical road infrastructure to advance the state's economic prospects.
