Air Peace flight operations have been suspended nationwide following action by members of the Nigeria Labour Congress, who have secured the airline's terminals.

The disruption has affected flight schedules at multiple airports throughout the country, with a Lagos departure originally scheduled for 6:30 a.m. unable to proceed as planned.

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority's Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, confirmed the incident when contacted, indicating that the stoppage was union-related and pledging to provide further details following his arrival at the airport.

Passengers have reported being stranded at Lagos airport, with one traveller noting on social media that a scheduled 9:00 a.m. appointment in Abuja had become impossible due to the flight suspension and airport disruption.

The industrial action has left numerous passengers facing significant delays across the aviation network.

Air Peace management had not issued a statement regarding the incident as of the time of reporting.

Confirmation regarding whether operations of other airlines have been similarly affected remained unavailable at the time this report was filed.
