The family of veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has made an emotional public appeal as the actor battles a serious health condition.

The daughters of veteran Yoruba cinema actor Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo, have made urgent public appeals for medical assistance on behalf of their father, disclosing that he is contending with stage-four cancer.
Lima and Kira Taiwo issued separate emotional pleas on social media on Monday, seeking help from medical professionals, healthcare facilities and the general public.
In an Instagram video, Lima described her father's condition as having deteriorated significantly, noting that medical institutions had reportedly ceased providing treatment.
She appealed to anyone with connections to cancer specialists or treatment facilities to come forward, emphasising that the family was not seeking financial donations but rather medical intervention.
She noted that the family had been unaware of the severity of his illness until approximately three weeks prior, as his physical appearance had not initially reflected the seriousness of his condition.
In a separate appeal, Kira confirmed the cancer diagnosis at stage four and disclosed that the hospital treating him had informed the family that chemotherapy could no longer be administered.
She called on hospitals, medical professionals and alternative practitioners capable of treating cancer to make contact, expressing willingness to explore any available therapeutic option.
She also acknowledged the financial support provided by a senator during this period and became visibly emotional while describing her father's distress and expressed fear of dying.
Hassan is a prominent figure in Yoruba cinema with a career exceeding four decades and more than 300 film appearances to his credit.
As of publication, neither his management nor the family had issued formal statements specifying the treating hospital, cancer type or clinical details.
