Deji Adeleke, a businessman and father of afrobeats musician Davido, has alleged that the All Progressives Congress deployed approximately N60 billion for vote-purchasing during the Osun State governorship election.

He claimed that in certain localities, the party paid as much as N50,000 per ballot.

Speaking in Osogbo, the state capital, Adeleke attributed his brother Governor Ademola Adeleke's electoral success to divine intervention.

He disclosed that he had prayed for voters to accept the opposition's financial inducements whilst casting ballots in favour of his brother, a prayer he credited with contributing to the governor's victory.

The governor secured 511,067 votes, defeating the APC candidate who polled 444,815 votes in the election held last Saturday.

Adeleke recounted that upon learning of the scale of financial expenditure the APC was deploying on election day, he retreated to pray, asking God to ensure that citizens would accept the money yet vote for his brother regardless.
