Lightning Strike Kills Pregnant Woman Nursing Mother And Baby In Bauchi

A devastating lightning strike has left a Bauchi community in mourning after three people, including a pregnant woman, a nursing mother and her seven-day-old daughter, died during a thunderstorm.

Three people, including a pregnant woman and a nursing mother, have been k!lled by lightning in Gambiri village, Bauchi State.

The incident happened when a thunderstorm struck on Monday around 5:29 p.m.

Lightning hit the room where the three were staying.

A resident said the victims were buried the following morning.

The nursing mother was Hauwa Juli, who had given birth just seven days before.

Her daughter, Fatima, was also k!lled.

The pregnant woman, Habiba, was Hauwa's sibling.

The newborn baby in the room survived.

The tragedy shocked the community deeply.

Economic and social activities stopped as residents mourned the loss.
