A deadly fire has swept through a hotel in central Kolkata, leaving five Bangladeshi nationals dead, including a child and four members of the same family.

A fire broke out around 2:50 a.m. on the second floor of a hotel in Kolkata and was put out within an hour, a senior police officer said.
A child was among those k!lled in the blaze, which officials believe may have started from an electrical short circuit.
Five Bangladeshi nationals d!ed in the fire.
Four of them were from the same family.
Six other Bangladeshi citizens were injured but were treated and discharged after receiving first aid.
Around 80 people were rescued from the hotel.
The Bangladeshi nationals had been staying there for medical treatment.
The hotel sits in a crowded area in the city's central section, an area known for cheap hotels and restaurants.
Authorities have formed a five-member team to conduct a full investigation into what happened.
