President Bola Tinubu has met with Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke at the Presidential Villa in Abuja following Adeleke's victory in last Saturday's governorship election.

President Bola Tinubu welcomed Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday evening for their first sit-down since Adeleke won re-election in last Saturday's governorship race.
A news correspondent at the scene saw Adeleke pull up to the villa's forecourt at 5:25 pm wearing a navy blue traditional outfit and carrying a walking stick.
He arrived in a black Toyota Land Cruiser SUV alongside the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
The visit comes after Tinubu had called Adeleke personally to congratulate him on winning the election again.
Tinubu told him the result showed that democracy was thriving in Nigeria and encouraged him to bring Osun people together, whatever side they took in the election.
About 15 minutes later, at 5:40 pm, four more officials from Osun State showed up at the villa.
They were the head of Adeleke's campaign team, Senator Lere Oyewumi; a member of the campaign council, Sunday Bisi; the governor's Chief of Staff, Akinleye Kazeem; and a lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo constituencies, Bamidele Salam.
