A quiet night in Gwa Rim turned deadly after gunmen stormed a community guard post in the early hours of Wednesday.

Three members of a local vigilante group were k!lled when gunm3n @tt@cked a community guard post at Gwa Rim in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The attack happened around 2am on Wednesday while residents were asleep.
A local resident confirmed the incident, saying the gunm3n opened fire on the vigilantes who were on watch at the guard post.
He said the k!llings were particularly troubling because the guards were only trying to protect their community from @tt@cks.
Residents are growing increasingly worried about their safety following the renewed @tt@cks on communities in the area.
The local appealed to security agencies to urgently strengthen security around Gwa Rim and other vulnerable communities in Riyom to prevent further incidents.
He also urged security operatives to investigate the k!llings, track down those responsible and bring them to justice.
