Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has made a key appointment to strengthen his 2027 presidential campaign, bringing communication strategist and lawyer Anthony Ehilebo into his team.

Seyi Makinde, Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate for the Allied Peoples Movement, has appointed Anthony Ehilebo as his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication.
The appointment takes effect immediately, with more team announcements expected to follow.
Makinde said Ehilebo's background as a communication strategist and lawyer would help push the APM's campaign message about fixing Nigeria and winning the 2027 presidential race.
Makinde called on Nigerians to support the APM, describing the upcoming election as a historic chance to pull Nigeria away from what he called the failed leadership of the ruling party.
He said with unity and determination, Nigeria can reclaim its future and deliver what people deserve.
Makinde formally joined the presidential race in May this year under an alliance between the Peoples Democratic Party and the APM.
He made his announcement at a rally in Ibadan that drew a huge crowd.
