A thirty-five-year-old presidential candidate claims he will become Nigeria's youngest president if elected in 2027.

Moses Adebisi, who is studying for a PhD at Harvard University in the United States, said he decided to run for the Democratic Leadership Alliance after people urged him to move from doing community help work into direct politics.

Adebisi said he spent years doing empowerment programmes for poor market women and young Nigerians.

He also ran digital literacy campaigns, sending computers and volunteers to communities to teach secondary school students after the government started computer-based testing for university entrance exams.

He decided to run for president after travelling to China to study how that country transformed its economy in 1978.

He also looked at how the United States built its system.

After this research, he said he realized that work outside politics could not fix Nigeria's problems.

Adebisi said he is confident he can defeat President Tinubu and win in 2027.

He claimed the Democratic Leadership Alliance has been building its structure quietly using what he called a submarine approach so people do not see it coming.

He said the party was the only one registered by the election commission between 2022 and 2026, despite 171 other political associations trying to register.

He called on Nigerian youths to support his movement, saying it is time for young people to take control of the country's future.
