A donation meant to improve conditions for patients has allegedly disappeared from a health facility, triggering outrage and swift action from the Nasarawa State Government.

The governor of Nasarawa State Abdullahi Sule has ordered the immediate arrest of hospital workers accused of selling equipment that was donated to a health facility.
He described the act as corruption and deeply inhuman.
A state assembly member had bought mattresses and fans for a primary healthcare center in his constituency because he was concerned about the poor conditions.
When he returned to the hospital days later, he discovered the items were gone.
The staff could not account for them.
In videos that have gone viral online, the lawmaker is seen confronting hospital officials.
He said he personally bought fifty orthopedic mattresses, fifty ceiling fans and forty standing fans with his own money for patients at the facility.
He demanded to know where the items went and asked hospital staff to show him the mattresses, saying they should still be moving around the wards.
The governor said this is the kind of thing that happens when people do not care about the state.
He criticized the hospital staff for failing to look after donated materials meant to help sick people.
He ordered that the responsible officials be arrested and taken to court.
He asked the health commissioner to bring him a report by the end of the week.
