Panic swept through part of Aba after a building under construction suddenly came crashing down before workers arrived.

A three-storey building under construction collapsed in Aba on Wednesday morning.
The house caved in before site workers arrived for the day, creating panic in the area.
Residents blame substandard materials and poor construction work for the collapse.
The building was being put up for commercial purposes and was approaching the roofing stage when it fell.
Officials from the Greater Aba Development Authority have sealed off the site to investigate.
However, government agencies are yet to officially confirm what caused the collapse.
This is the latest in a series of building failures across Abia State.
Around ten buildings have collapsed between June and August across Aba, Umuahia, Osisioma and Ikwuano.
In July alone, multiple collapses were recorded at various locations including residential and commercial buildings ranging from two to four storeys.
On July 9, authorities evacuated residents from a four-storey house on Clifford Road in Aba after it developed serious structural cracks.
Residents are calling on the Abia State government to act on the rising number of collapses. Remarkably, no one has died in any of these incidents.
