Families of missing British people have traveled to Nepal searching for their loved ones.

Floods that hit Nepal and Tibet have killed at least 475 people so far.

Several hundred more are missing, including 537 tourists.

Among them are 33 British nationals, including a 13-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy.

The death toll keeps rising as rescue teams work to find survivors.

More flooding is expected in the coming days.

Prime Minister Andy Burnham says the UK is sending 5 million pounds to help Nepal.

He called the situation devastating.

King Charles said he and the Queen are heartbroken by what happened.

One woman from Slough, Leena Bector, is among 27 people connected to a tour company who are still missing.

Her husband flew to Nepal to help search.

He told reporters he needs to be there in case she's found.

A nurse from Essex lost four family members.

They were swept away by the water so fast there was nothing anyone could do.

A senior nurse from Kent named Sarada Simkhada is also among the missing.

She was on a spiritual journey to Mount Kailash.

Many of the missing people were making pilgrimages to Mount Kailash, a sacred Hindu site.

Several tour companies had groups in the area when the floods hit.

Alpine Eco Trek alone has 12 missing British tourists.

Four Nepali guides from that company are also gone.

The flooding happened early Wednesday near the capital Kathmandu.

Scientists say it was caused by a glacier collapse and landslide, not an earthquake like first thought.

The ground shook with a 5.2 magnitude event when the debris came down.
