Singer Ayra Starr has shared her thoughts on dating someone who earns less than her.
She said if she dated a man she was richer than, she would control him in the relationship.
On the Wahala podcast, the Bloody Samaritan hitmaker explained her stance on finances in relationships.
She said her partner would still be expected to provide for her and contribute money, regardless of how much she earns.
Ayra added that she would keep her true financial situation hidden from her man.
She said she would not tell him how much money she has or that she is wealthier than he is.
"If I date a man who I am richer than, I will control him.
But even if I am richer, he will still be providing, and I won't let him know I have a lot of money," the singer stated.
Her comments sparked debate online.
Some people agreed with her view that providing for a woman is part of a man's role in a relationship.
Others criticized her for planning to hide her wealth from a future partner, saying it was dishonest and unfair to keep that kind of secret.
