The national leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Seriake Dickson, met with the party's presidential candidate Peter Obi and running mate Rabiu Kwankwaso in Abuja on Thursday to discuss the party's direction and Nigeria's future.
Dickson revealed on social media that the meeting was part of ongoing talks and consultations within the party.
The NDC leaders gathered to make final decisions as they get ready to announce the party's Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
This was the second meeting in two days between the party's top figures.
Dickson said they met again to work through important matters and wrap up decisions that needed to be made before the official unveiling.
Dickson called on all party members, candidates and stakeholders to come together and unite behind the NDC's candidates at every level, from the presidential position down to local races.
He urged everyone to work as one for the success of their candidates.
"We met two days ago, and we met again today to further deliberate and finalise decisions, particularly as we prepare for the unveiling of our party's Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections," Dickson stated.
