Singer Celine Dion arrived in Paris on Friday to massive crowds cheering her on.

The 58-year-old looked emotional during her first public appearance in two years, waving and blowing kisses to excited fans outside her hotel.

Celine is preparing for her long-awaited return to the stage after three years away.

She had cancelled her world tour because of stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological condition that causes painful muscle spasms.

Over the past six years she performed only once, at a fashion event in Saudi Arabia in 2024.

Her last time performing was at the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Now she is getting ready for a residency with ten shows in Paris that has been extended to twenty shows due to overwhelming demand.

The singer revealed how she has been preparing for her comeback.

She does 90-minute Pilates sessions three times a week and takes ballet classes twice weekly.

She described the condition as progressive and something she has to manage every day.

Celine was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome in 2022 after experiencing symptoms for years.

The condition makes it hard to walk and affects her vocal cords.

During the pandemic, she isolated for three years, partly worried that fans would think she was living happily and not understand why she was cancelling shows.

She also developed a deep appreciation for nature during this time.

Trees became a metaphor for her struggles.

She imagined telling them she was sorry she had nothing to give them anymore, but heard a voice saying the trees came for the tree itself, not for fruit.

The singer said she worked hard every day with her therapist to rebuild her strength.

She explained that singing is all she has known and loved her whole life, so not being able to perform was incredibly difficult.

Last year Celine said her happiness had come back and that a big weight had lifted off her shoulders.

She said she believes in herself and her bravery and will not let the disorder control her life.

Now she is ready to perform again.

She feels grateful to her fans who bought her records and made her career possible.

She said all she wants is to show them she is alive and that she has missed them.

She is also ready to do all the parts of being a pop star again, even the annoying bits like signing autographs.
