Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has reflected on the wedding she never had after attending a movie premiere with a wedding dress code.

The actress wore a bridal outfit to the premiere of Folagade Banks' film A Mama Deola Wedding Story on Wednesday, alongside other Nollywood stars who also embraced the wedding theme.

Appearing in the wedding dress stirred emotional memories for Ogbodo about the ceremony she had once imagined for herself.

She shared a video in the dress, acknowledging that she grieves not just what happened in her life but what she expected to happen.

The dress, vows, celebration and future she thought she was building never came to be.

However, Ogbodo said she is learning to accept that her life took a different path.

She expressed hope that the wedding that never occurred made room for a life she deserves, even though things did not turn out as she had planned.

Other celebrities including Kate Henshaw, Osas Ighodaro, Shaffy Bello and Mo Bimpe attended the premiere in bridal-inspired outfits.

The film centres on wedding festivities and features a large wedding sequence with hundreds of cast members.

For Ogbodo, the occasion became more than a fashion moment, prompting deeper reflection about the life she imagined versus the life she is actually living.
