The National Youth Service Corps has extended the service year for 27 corps members in Osun State.
At the same time, 31 corps members ran away from their assigned work locations during the service year.
The state coordinator announced this during a passing-out ceremony on Thursday for corps members who completed the 2025 Batch B service year.
He congratulated those who finished successfully and urged them to use the knowledge and skills they gained during their service as they move forward with their lives.
The coordinator particularly encouraged the corps members to build on entrepreneurial skills they learned through a skills development programme.
He said these skills would help young Nigerians cope with the current economic situation.
He reminded the departing corps members to remain disciplined and responsible as they begin new chapters of their lives.
He said completing national service should mark the start of greater opportunities and chances to contribute to society.
The coordinator also visited local government areas to check on the welfare of corps members and inspect their lodges.
He encouraged those completing service to hold onto the positive values they gained and apply their experiences to their personal and professional growth.
He also urged them to maintain strong spiritual lives and live meaningful lives that make a real difference.
