Afrobeats star Davido has fired back at critics mocking his wealthy background, declaring he will continue enjoying his own money and his family's wealth.
The singer posted on social media that he will keep spending money he has earned as well as his father's money, and that anyone bothered by this should address their own financial situations, making it clear he has no intention of apologizing for his privilege.

The fresh jab comes amid an escalating online feud between Davido and rapper Erigga that started when the latter celebrated musicians who built careers without family money, grinding for every dollar they earned.
While Erigga did not name Davido directly, the singer took the post as a personal dig and responded by arguing that wealthy artists also work hard to succeed.
Davido then dismissed Erigga's message as useless motivation and called him an imbecile, intensifying the clash.
Erigga pushed back, questioning why Davido appeared offended by a post that never mentioned him in the first place.
The exchange has divided social media users, with some defending Davido's right to enjoy his wealth and others criticizing him for appearing oversensitive to what was ostensibly a general statement.
Davido's latest statement triggered fresh waves of reaction from Nigerians online, with users offering everything from support to mockery of both artists and the ongoing dispute.
The back-and-forth has become a talking point in entertainment circles, highlighting ongoing debates about privilege, hard work and success in the Nigerian music industry.
