A tense security operation along a major Katsina road has ended with three kidnap victims walking free after troops moved in following a distress alert.

Troops of Sector 2, Joint Task Force North West, Operation Fansan Yamma, have rescued three k!dn@pped victims during an operation along the Dandume-Sheme Road in Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State on Thursday, September 3.
The rescue followed an urgent distress call from residents who alerted security forces to t3rrorist activities operating along the route.
Upon receiving the alert, troops collaborated with Nigeria Police personnel to rapidly mobilise to the scene.
When they made contact with the t3rrorists, security forces overwhelmed the criminals with superior firepower, forcing them to scatter into surrounding bushland.
As the t3rrorists fled in disarray, they abandoned their k!dn@pped victims.
Troops who exploited the general area subsequently recovered all three victims along with two vehicles used by the t3rrorists in their operations.
The rescued victims and recovered vehicles were handed over to the Divisional Police Officer in Dandume for further processing.
Following the successful operation, troops have continued dominating the area through aggressive patrols designed to restrict t3rrorist movement and prevent further @tt@cks along the Dandume-Sheme corridor.
The operation demonstrates Operation Fansan Yamma's dedication to protecting lives and property across the joint operations area.
Security forces have urged residents to remain alert and promptly report any suspicious movements or activities to nearby security outposts.
The operation expressed appreciation for public support and called on communities to remain vigilant in helping security agencies identify and respond to threats within their localities.
