The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has appointed a new head for its Osun office.

Toma Enya took over on Monday, coming from the Ekiti Command.

He replaced Commandant Igbalawole Sotiyo at the command's headquarters in Osogbo.

After the handover, Enya was taken to meet Governor Ademola Adeleke's deputy, Kola Adewusi.

Enya promised that under his watch, intelligence work would be strengthened and the command would keep protecting lives and property across the state.

Adewusi welcomed him and assured him the state government would support the security corps so it could do its job properly and help with the state's security and development.

Enya is the 18th commandant of the NSCDC in Osun State.

He comes from Ajaokuta Local Government Area in Kogi State and holds a degree in Geology from Ahmadu Bello University and a Master's degree in Public Administration.

He's worked in various security roles throughout his career and has attended several professional training courses both in Nigeria and abroad that have sharpened his expertise in security and leadership.
