Troops from the 233 Tank Battalion stopped a vehicle carrying 11 empty Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) cylinders and a Greco open-loop kit without the necessary security permits in Borno State.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported that soldiers found the items around 1:00 pm on September 6, 2026, during a routine search at the Mega Checkpoint.

Because the driver did not have the required clearance to transport the equipment, troops arrested him on the spot and seized the vehicle's cargo.

Both the driver and the confiscated gear are currently in military custody while investigators look further into the matter.
