Police in Niger State have arrested four suspects over the shocking death of a village head who was attacked inside his home.

Police in Niger State have arrested four suspects over the k!ll!ng of a 53-year-old village head in Munya Local Government Area.
Bawa Barde, the village head of Zhilu, was @tt@cked at his home around 3 am on August 23.
The assailants inflicted serious m@ch£t£ injur!es on him and left him for d£ad.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced d£ad.
The four suspects Zegi Dogari, 48; Danjuma Galadima, 50; Bashir Umar, 32; and John Doma, 35 were arrested between August 25 and 28.
During questioning, they confessed they conspired together to @tt@ck the village head.
According to police, the reasons behind the killing were rooted in family grievances.
Bashir Umar, who is Barde's cousin, had been warned by the village head to clear his farmland to allow grazing routes.
Danjuma Galadima is Barde's brother.
The suspects claimed their actions were also motivated by Barde's decisions in settling a dispute involving Bashir.
Police also revealed that Zegi Dogari, a herbalist, had been suspected of an affair with the deceased's wife.
When confronted, he admitted to it and was fined N700,000.
The suspects said this and other family issues led to the attack.
The suspects will be charged to court once investigations conclude.
