Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde says she turned down huge money-making deals that could have made her a billionaire because they didn't match her values.
Speaking on a podcast, she revealed that some of the lucrative offers she rejected were tied to politics.
While the offers weren't necessarily bad in themselves, she felt they would have compromised what she stands for.
Omotola said if she wanted to be a billionaire, she easily could have been one.
She's been in situations where nobody would have known if she took money and went against her principles, but she chose to walk away instead.
Many of those times involved political offers where she could have been paid handsomely to go along with things.
She explained that sometimes the things she's tempted by don't seem obviously wrong, which makes them harder to turn down.
But she still walks away because accepting them would eventually water down her message and undermine what she believes in.
