Peter Obi arrived in Jos on Tuesday to visit communities in Mangu that were hit by recent attacks.
The NDC presidential candidate landed at the airport where party officials and state leaders received him.
He's going to Mangu to meet with people affected by the violence, see the damage for himself and listen to what survivors have to say.
During the visit, Obi will pay his respects to families who lost loved ones and encourage residents trying to recover.
He plans to hear directly from survivors and community leaders about what happened and the security problems they're facing.
The visit is meant to bring attention to what these communities have been through.
Residents have been calling on authorities to do more to protect them and end the cycle of attacks that keep displacing people and destroying their lives.
Obi is expected to push for better security measures and continued support for those affected by the violence.
