The Ministry of Education has moved academic certificate evaluation and authentication online, eliminating the need for people to go to the ministry office in person.

The new platform makes certificate verification faster, clearer and easier to access for people in Nigeria and abroad.

Applicants can complete the whole process online through the ministry's website.

Education Minister Maruf Alausa said this is part of the government's wider push to digitalize services under President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.

The automated system cuts red tape and delays while making Nigeria's academic certification process more credible.

The platform also gives schools, employers and other organizations a better way to verify academic qualifications.

The ministry said the move is about modernizing education, improving how things work and giving citizens better, more convenient services.

Anyone wanting credential evaluation and authentication can use the platform at essverify.education.gov.ng or email ess1@education.gov.ng with questions.
