Tensions over a family's sole livelihood take a dark, devastating turn deep within Osun State.

The Osun State Police Command has arrested a man named Taye Kasali on suspicion of k!lling his mother, Kudirat Kasali, and burying her body in a shallow grave on a family farm.
The police became aware of the case on September 1 after receiving a report that Kudirat and her son had gone missing.
Officers from the Bode-Osi Division immediately began investigating the disappearance.
Following intelligence-led work, police arrested Taye on September 7 in connection with the alleged crime.
During questioning, Taye reportedly admitted to k!lling his mother on August 31, 2026.
According to police, Taye said his mother had been calling him mad and had threatened to lease out the family farmland, which he saw as the family's main means of survival.
He allegedly k!lled her by slitting her throat with a machete and then buried her body in a shallow grave on the farm.
After making this statement, Taye led investigators to the location where they found the shallow grave and recovered the remains of his mother.
The machete allegedly used in the k!lling was also recovered and kept as evidence.
The Commissioner of Police has ordered that Taye be thoroughly investigated and taken to court once the investigation is complete.
The police assured the public that justice would be served according to the law.
