Container Truck Crashes on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Three Injured

A container truck crash has thrown traffic into confusion on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, leaving three people injured and motorists facing delays.

Three people were injured after a 40-foot containerised truck crashed on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Mowe, Ogun State.

The accident happened on Kara Bridge near ENYO Filling Station when the truck experienced brake failure.

The vehicle crashed into demarcation blocks and other cars at the bridge exit.

The three injured persons were taken to an emergency centre for medical attention.

The entire carriageway inward OPIC was initially closed off while traffic officials introduced counterflow measures to manage movement.

Officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, police from Isheri and the Federal Road Safety Corps were deployed to the scene.

Recovery and evacuation operations were completed and the roadway was fully cleared.

Traffic resumed although there was still a backlog of vehicles.

Officials remained on the ground to manage the situation and ensure continuous vehicular movement.
