Prince Adelaja Adeoye, the Allied Peoples Movement's candidate for Lagos governor in 2027, says his push for the seat stems from wanting to serve the state properly and put people first.

A real estate businessman, Adeoye insists Lagos needs a servant-leader who listens and gets things done, not another person simply sitting in power.

His vision, which he calls Atunto Eko, spans housing, fighting poverty, jobs, health, waste management, schools, roads and safety.

On housing, he points to a shortfall of over three million units and promises 50,000 affordable rent-to-own homes in four years across Ikorodu, Epe, Badagry, Alimosho and Ibeju-Lekki.

He also plans a rent protection scheme and better land administration.

For poverty and business growth, he's proposing a 10 billion naira micro-credit fund called Ekoowo for traders, craftspeople, fishermen and small businesses, available through cooperatives at low interest.

Twenty major markets would get upgrades with solar power, cold storage and childcare facilities.

He'd create industrial hubs in Badagry for coconut and fish farming, Ikorodu for building materials, Epe for food production, and the mainland for fashion, film and tech, all with power and internet.

His target is 100,000 jobs in two years.

Under a programme called Eko Skill Code, 20,000 youth yearly would learn solar installation, plumbing, coding and creative trades, then get connected to work.

On health, 250 primary clinics would run 24/7 with staff, drugs, solar power and ambulances.

An Eko Health Card would let informal workers pay one thousand naira monthly for coverage, while pregnancy care and delivery become free in public hospitals.

For waste, he notes Lagos produces over 13,000 tonnes daily and wants LAWMA reformed with source sorting and recycling incentives.

He'd clear drainage channels, build 100 kilometres of lined drains and create 15,000 green jobs in recycling and compost-making.

Schools would get ten technical colleges rebuilt, free meals from Lagos farmers, 30 percent better teacher pay and solar-powered digital classrooms.

He'd fix 500 inner roads using local labour and create a single ticketing system for buses, the Blue Line and ferries, plus water transport to Ikorodu, Epe and Badagry.

Security would involve community policing, solar streetlights and a safety app for emergencies.

He also pledges to post all contracts and spending online monthly for public oversight.

Adeoye backs Oyo governor Seyi Makinde as the party's presidential pick, saying Makinde's track record shows real focus on people's needs and would tackle insecurity, food shortages, joblessness, power problems and brain drain if elected.

He's calling on Lagos voters to support all APM candidates from bottom to top in 2027.
