Ninety fresh graduates in Ebonyi State have received practical advice to help them move from university into the working world.

KEMAK Foundation for Enhancing Sustainable Livelihood has trained 90 fresh university graduates with practical tips and advice to help them start careers, navigate the National Youth Service Corps and prepare for life after school.
The graduates attended the 8th Fresh Graduates Career Mentorship Summit held at Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
Most participants were recent graduates from Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike and Ebonyi State University.
The summit focused on CV writing, finding jobs, scholarships for further study, starting businesses, NYSC registration, learning digital skills and personal growth.
The foundation's executive director urged the graduates to highlight their achievements properly on CVs instead of just listing what they did.
He promised the foundation would keep mentoring them on career and scholarship matters for the next five years.
A Central Bank of Nigeria official told the graduates to work hard, be honest, stay resilient and find mentors.
A university professor encouraged them to think about starting their own businesses, saying entrepreneurs solve problems and create opportunities.
Another speaker urged them to push past personal and family challenges to chase their dreams with courage.
An NYSC official explained the registration process and warned against mistakes that could delay their posting.
A communications expert taught them public speaking and presentation skills while a technology team showed them digital learning options.
The graduates said the summit gave them practical guidance as they prepare to start working.
One Mass Communication graduate called it a chance to develop the right mindset for success.
An Engineering graduate said the talks and interactions gave valuable tips for beginning a career.
An Economics graduate said it was inspiring and would help them make better career choices.
The programme had support from the Central Bank, tech companies and oil firms. Graduates received certificates at the end.
