The military says troops fighting Boko Haram and ISWAP in the Northeast have killed more than 1,100 terrorists and arrested hundreds of people linked to the groups.

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have k!lled 1,106 Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province t3rrorists and seized over 300 million naira in illegal money from their supporters.
The outgoing military commander announced this during his farewell speech in Maiduguri, Borno State.
He said the military operations also led to the arrest of 758 people who were helping the terrorist groups.
Troops recovered over 475 weapons and more than 24,000 rounds of ammunition.
They also found and safely detonated 295 roadside bombs.
The commander said success came from combining strong military attacks with other approaches.
This strategy led to an unusually large number of surrenders, with over 969 t3rrorist fighters and their families laying down their weapons in the past year.
The military also achieved major wins in rescue operations, saving 638 civilians from t3rrorist camps.
Among the successes was the safe rescue of 46 students during an attempted abduction at a school in Monguno.
Several notable t3rrorist leaders were k!lled, including senior commanders from different groups and territories.
The commander thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the chance to serve the nation.
