A major police operation across three Akwa Ibom communities has reportedly disrupted a suspected criminal network linked to a series of robberies and motorcycle thefts.

Police in Akwa Ibom State have arrested six suspects linked to a criminal network that has been terrorising three local government areas through @rmed robberies and motorcycle thefts.
The suspects were caught early Wednesday during a coordinated raid on criminal hideouts across Ikono, Ini and Obot Akara.
The operation followed months of intelligence gathering aimed at dismantling the gang responsible for a string of violent thefts in the region.
Police recovered two shotguns, three laptops, a suspected stolen motorcycle and various charms and fetish items from the suspects' shrine.
The arrested men included Peter Sabbath, 34, accused of leading the gang; Joseph Udo, 25, who allegedly produced fake receipts to help sell stolen motorcycles; Victor Igwe, 23, also involved in document forgery; Boniface Essiet, 37, described as a traditional healer who supplied charms to gang members; Simeon Udo, 47; and Uko Akang, found with a red Qlink motorcycle reported stolen.
The Police Commissioner commended the operatives for their work and ordered investigators to deepen the probe, recover more stolen property and track down other fleeing gang members.
He stressed that the command will continue using intelligence-led tactics to hunt down criminals and dismantle their networks across the state.
