The University of Lagos has announced the lowest UTME marks needed for merit-based entry into programmes for the coming academic year.
The declaration Wednesday signals the start of the admission cycle and is directed at prospective students, families and the general public.
Candidates scoring below the specified thresholds for their chosen courses will not qualify under merit admission.
UNILAG urged applicants to review the cut-off marks carefully before proceeding, as the figures determine eligibility across departments and faculties for 2026/2027.
Students should compare their own UTME scores against the released cut-offs to check if they meet requirements for preferred courses.
Those meeting or exceeding the marks can move forward with admission steps, while those falling short are encouraged to explore other available options within the admissions framework.
The release comes as part of the wider UTME cycle in which thousands of Nigerian students sat the exam earlier this year seeking tertiary places across the country.
UNILAG warned candidates to rely only on official university channels for information about admission, Post-UTME screening, eligibility, registration, cut-off marks, courses and screening schedules.
The institution cautioned against misinformation and fraudulent claims, stressing that all announcements come through official channels only.
