Ekiti State University has announced a major change in its administrative leadership, with an experienced university administrator set to take over one of its key positions.

Ekiti State University has appointed Dr Jadesola Babatola as its seventh registrar for a five-year term starting October 5, 2026.
Babatola was previously a deputy registrar at the university.
The governing council approved his appointment at a meeting on Thursday.
Babatola studied history at what is now EKSU as an undergraduate.
He later earned a master's degree in political science from the University of Ibadan in 1997 and a PhD in history and international studies from EKSU in 2019.
Before joining EKSU as an administrative officer in 2001, he spent time in the private sector.
He previously served as registrar at three other institutions including the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration, the Federal Polytechnic Ekowe Island in Bayelsa State and Ajayi Crowther University in Oyo.
Babatola is a former global president of the EKSU Alumni Association.
He holds fellowships in several professional bodies including the Nigerian Institute of Management, the Chartered Institute of Administration and the Institute of Management Consultants.
He is also a member of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators and other professional groups.
