The body of a woman who had been reported missing has been found near a stream inside a forest reserve in Jos.

The mutilated body of an unidentified woman has been found near a stream inside Jos Wildlife Park Forest Reserve in Plateau State.
The discovery was made Thursday morning around 9:30am after security operatives received a distress report.
The woman had gone missing and her family launched a search, which led to finding her corpse.
The woman had injuries on her arm and face that appeared to be machete cuts.
A park staff member said security personnel were alerted immediately after the body was discovered and began their initial assessment.
Security authorities have started investigating to determine what happened and whether criminals were involved.
The Plateau State Police Command and other security agencies have not issued an official statement on the incident.
