A woman who was kidnapped and held for 56 days has told an Abuja court about what she and other victims went through while in the kidnappers' hideout.

A witness in the trial of five alleged Ansaru terror group members testified in Abuja Federal High Court on Friday about their ordeal during a 56-day abduction.
The witness, code-named AAA, was one of the victims of the Orire school abduction.
She said the kidnappers fed them only when convenient, despite having a child as young as 18 months among them.
The witness said they were seriously traumatised during and after their captivity.
She told the court that the abductors used the victims' mobile phones to contact government officials, though she did not know the numbers called.
Under cross examination, the witness admitted she knew three of the five defendants from the forest.
She learned about the other two during interrogation at the DSS office.
She said two teachers, Michael Oyedokun and John Olaleye, were killed at separate camps, but she was not present when they were beheaded.
Because of this, she could not identify which kidnappers carried out the killings.
The witness also said she was interrogated by DSS operatives both at their office and while in hospital after her rescue by security forces.
Justice Salim Olasupo Ibrahim set October 12 and 13 for the trial to continue.
