Nyesom Wike says he and the other G-5 governors had a clear plan during the 2023 presidential election.

Nyesom Wike, the FCT minister, has revealed that he and the G-5 governors deliberately stopped Peter Obi from winning Rivers State in the 2023 presidential election.
Speaking on TVC News on Monday, Wike said they had a strategy.
The G-5 allowed the Labour Party to win in other South-South states to block the PDP's Atiku Abubakar from winning the region. But Rivers was different.
"We said Obi will not win Rivers State.
If he wins, it sends a signal somewhere," Wike said. "We stopped it."
There have been claims that the 2023 election results in Rivers State, especially for president, were rigged in favour of the APC.
Obi had said he actually won in Rivers.
Wike also said now the situation has changed.
Obi cannot win the South-South anymore, he claims.
